The stem adheres to the tree like a tentacle. One stem had reached 30 feet tall. stems reddish brown. NOTE: the altitude given on the label is 6700 ft. This must be an error since nowhere in Chirinda Forest is higher than 1240 m (c. 4070 ft) and Lomariopsis never occurs at such high elevations.
