Male flowers of Darbyshire 878. Scrambling shrub with arching branches; inflorescence axes reddish, flowers minute, green.

Scrambling shrub with arching branches. Leaves softly hairy, bright green. Female flowers with long red stigmas, elsewhere green. Fruits green, 3-lobed.

Erect annual herb, delicate pink flowers with pale yellow throat.

Fern with tuft of fronds from short rhizome; sori dark brown when mature.

Terrestrial orchid to c. 30 cm tall, largely leafless; swollen white rootstock. Tepals pink, short rounded spur yellowish, throat white with mauve speckling, labellum with brownish central area.

Large spreading tree to 15 m; bole straight, branched high, loaded with epiphytes (Rhipsalis, orchids). Bark dark brown, smooth, slightly shiny in places. Leaves large, clustered terminanlly, not hairy.

Minute tufted herb, spikelets green.

Prostrate on peaty soils, fertile parts erect, pale yellow-green.

Erect or pendulous branches on shaded riverbank.

Climbing herb or liana, here sprawling near the ground; stipules deeply forked, somewhat reflexed. Corolla pale yellowish-green with centre orange turning brown, 4 or 5 lobes.

Fern with erect pale green fronds, tufted from a tough woody rhizome, fertile portions terminal on some fronds, brown.

Untidily branched perennial herb. Bracts green turning brown. Corolla white, stamens not exserted. Mostly past flowering at this time of year.

Shrub to 3 m tall. Petals cream-coloured, woolly within; stamens yellow.

Pendulous stems growing from rock crevices, some young stems spiny. Fruits white, fleshy.

Erect terrestrial orchid to 60 cm tall with swollen ovoid tuber, strongly angular stems. Bracts green in lower portion, turning white distally. Tepals pale green externally, white within, labellum 2-lobed with broad central notch, yellow centrally.

Erect sedge to 50 cm tall from a horizontal pink rhizome. Spikelets pale brown.

Several broad fronds from a woody rhizome, fronds c. 1-1.5 x 0.7 m.

Herb to 2 m. Corolla pale mauve; filaments green-white, anthers yellow.
