Rhizome short- to long-creeping; rhizome scales lanceolate in outline, 7 mm long. Fronds monomorphic, 0.5–1 m tall. Stipe up to 50 cm long, softly hairy. Lamina simply pinnate-pinnatifid, 20–50 cm long with about 20 pairs of pinnae, the basal ones deflexed, not or only slightly reduced; pinnae apex tapering to a point, 5–16 x 1–2 cm, deeply lobed; lobes oblong in outline, rounded truncate, ± entire, 6 x 2.5–4 mm; veins in 8–10 pairs, the lowest pair joined forming an excurrent vein to the sinus-membrane, lower surfaces of lobes typically covered with soft spreading hairs and thick orange or very pale ellipsoid glands usually present on the costules and veins. Indusia hairy. |
