Description: |
Epiphytic herb with a stout creeping woody rhizome, 2–3.5 mm in diameter. Pseudobulbs 1.5–8 cm apart on the rhizome, ovoid or ellipsoid, 1.5–3.5 cm long, 4-angled, green with brown streaks between the angles. Leaf 1, erect, fleshy, lanceolate or oblong, 3–14.5 cm long, emarginate at the apex; petiole distinct, up to 6 mm long. Inflorescence 13–43 cm long, many-flowered; peduncle to 32 cm long, rather wiry; rhachis up to 11 cm long, slightly swollen and flattened, distinctly nodding so that it forms an angle with the peduncle. Flowers fleshy, green with purple stripes, lip purple-black, or whitish with purple marks. Dorsal sepal ovate, 4–6 mm long, not recurved; lateral sepals similar but pointed. Petals oblong, 2–3 mm long. Lip 2–3 mm long, very fleshy, with large, irregular warts towards the apex on both surfaces. |
