| Notes: | Creeper; Notes: Herbaceous creeper. Stems twining, limp, slender, ribbed with dense, white, scabrid hairs, articulated, monopodially branched; tendrils slender, twisted. Leaves alternate, simple; petiole slender, 2 cm long. curved; lamina sagittate, apex apiculate, base hastate, margin denticulate, 45 x 40 mm, dull green, dense white indumentum on both surfaces but especially on abaxial venation. Flowers small, in dense axillary clusters, subsessile 3-5 (-8)/cluster, 1.5 mm in diameter. Petals yellow-orange. Sepals densely pubescent. Fruit a berry globose, 1 cm in diameter, smooth, glabrate, red when ripe. Seeds ovoid, flattened, grey, verruculate. Marshy plain along river. |
